Secret Clinical antiperspirant - BzzAgent Campaign

A Couple weeks ago I received a trial size Secret Clinical Strength Clear Gel Anti Perspirant from Secret for Free to try it out and provide my honest opinion.

"Secret Clinical antiperspirant offers up to 4X Stress Sweat Protection* so you don’t have to add wetness to whatever else you have to worry about. Of course everyone handles hectic situations differently, so you can choose either Clear Gel, which goes on clear, or Invisible Solid, which goes on dry." - BzzAgent Website

So the question comes up what's in your gym bag?  Well when I am doing Tabata or HIIT classes I sweat A LOT so using the Secret Clinical Antiperspirant is by far the best.  I have tried other pit sticks but this one really works.  I wasn't sweaty at all under my pits, I was dry while my back was soaked.  It went on clear, and dried right away.  I didn't have to wait for the gel to absorb.  My only thoughts are the price is up there so wait for a sale.  If I had a choice one the next purchase I would pick up the invisible solid, just cause I prefer that type and it's easier to apply.

The SuperSizer Mascara - BzzAgent Campaign

Yesterday I received a full size tube of the new Cover Girl Mascara called The Super Sizer for Free from Cover Girl to try it out and provide my honest opinion.
  • 400% more volume is just a twirl away
  • Perfect the method, perfect your eyelashes
  • Forget the glue, just load it on and twirl it up
  • COVERGIRL’s newest mascara provides corner-to-corner volume for full, fanned out lashes

  • I'm already a fan of Cover Girl Mascara since I have the Lash Blast Mascara currently in my make up bag.

I am a fan of the wand.  The head of it is lighter and does a better job at separating the lashes.  I just need to practice on the application technique and I'll be ready to rock the lashes like Katy Perry.
Here is a Before and After using the Mascara.

If you want to try The Super Sizer Covergirl Mascara for yourself shoot me a message and I would love to send you a $2 off coupon.  I got 5 of them to share with you.

    My New Adventure

I am embarking on a new adventure.  I find since Extreme Couponing became huge, the ability to coupon and get big savings had dissapeared.  Within the first year of my couponing I did get big savings but then brand by brand, store by store they started to put their foot down and put a stop to big hauls, and shelf clearing.  It's the few that really ruin it for everyone.  Now if you want to hit the jackpot on any sale you need to hope that a store has overlooked something and you picked it up.  Good example of this was Shoppers had a huge point redemption weekend.  Little did they realize they also had a chocoloate bar on sale that was a big points earner.  At the end of the day people used points to get chocolate that earned more points and the cycle continues.  The next day Shoppers drug mart realized this and squashed it very quickly.

On to my new adventure.  My boyfriend and I are starting a business together.  I know it has nothing to do with couponing, but I am going to be as cost effective as possible and try to find the most afforadable ways to keep the business in operations, and be able to market this company.  Already I managed to tweet my way to win 1000 postcards that we are going to use to market our services.  By watching youtube I managed to design and put our website together saving us about $500 in web design fees.

Please spread the word and check out our company and my new adventure.

CTV: Steele on your Side Email

Olson on your side has been replaced by Steele on your side on CTV.  I emailed the following email below, and got called by CTV today asking me for more information.  They said they have forwarded my story idea to the producers.

    Hi Lynda

Congratulations on being on the CTV team.  TLC released a series call “Extreme Couponing”  featuring Americans scoring big grocery hauls saving 90% - 100% on their grocery bills.  This has resulted in a boom of inspired Canadians who are striving to maximize their savings using coupons.  One of the biggest things standing in the way of a couponer, and has frustrated many cashiers are coupon policies, and how they are being inconsistently applied amongst the locations.  Shoppers Drug Mart and Superstore more recently have started to publish new coupon policies to hopefully clear up a bunch of questions.  With so many couponers entering the market, the Head offices of many retail and grocery stores have been inundated with emails and calls complaining about inconsistencies, or asking for official coupon policies.  Even the wording on the coupon itself raises a lot of arguments. Defining the meaning between purchase and transaction.  If the coupon is for a free product, does that also mean free of taxes?  London Drugs and Save of Foods allow coupon stacking.  Allowing customers to use multiple coupons on a single item.  London Drugs has been doing this for years, whereas Save on Foods has just recently adopted this.   Just by contacting London Drugs you will find how many people email them constantly asking for clarity and complaining about inconsistent policies.  I know I have emailed them at least  4 times.  To also change the perception of the couponer.  I hate going to the grocery store and have a manager get mad at me, and make me feel like I am stealing from them.  Stores get the full value of the coupon back, and a handling fee for accepting the coupon.  If anything the store should be thanking me for using coupons, as they are getting a little bit more in revenue because of it.

I hope you will be able to clear up a lot of questions and get these stores consistent.

    Thank you,

    TP Tower
Welcome to my stockpile pics.  I will update as I continuously try to organize and re-arrange it, as my 1 bedroom apartment can only hold so much.  I started couponing back in January starting out just finding cheap toilet paper and laundry soap was my focus.  As I got more coupons, and learned more about couponing it trickled in to stocking up on cleaning, beauty, and more importantly food.  Didn't take any stockpile pics of my food, as that is updated all the time but am proud to say I got lots of cookies, soup, cereal, tuna and pasta to last me some time.

Wal-Mart Coupon Policy Test $12.07 Overage

I've been reading on the coupon boards that Wal-mart has a new coupon policy that allows you to have overages.  What is an overage??  An overage happens when the value of the coupon exceeds the price of the product.  They allow overages because when they mail the coupon to the manufacturer they are getting the full value back, therefore they owe us change in return.  If you do have an overage you have 2 options.  You can apply the overage to the rest of your "basket" groceries, or they can give you the change.

I had 2 coupons that I wanted to use to test this new policy.  I had a $5 off any 3 Gillette Products, and $5 off any 2 Olay Products.  When a coupon says ANY this includes trial/travel size items.
    Gillette Shaving Cream=$1.27
    Olay Lotion=$1.57

I only used coupons on this trip, and with overages, wal-mart paid me $12.07.

Coupon Stacking at Save on Foods $5.34 Total =D

This is my first time trying out the new coupon policy at Save on Foods.  Not all locations are doing it yet, so be sure to check with the manager first.  I went to the Cambie and 7th location.  I will say that groceries there in general are fairly pricey with the occasional sale.  So to stack coupons there refer to my post last month about how to stack coupons, and the same rules will apply there.  Make sure they are all different UPC codes, and it can't exceed the value of the item.  Please note that as much as I would love to list or show you the coupons used, a lot of my trips are unplanned and I would have used them all on my shopping trip.  If you have any questions about couponing, or if you have a valid stack you would like to use, shoot me a message.

My receipt. $75.48 for all the groceries
less $21.76 save on more card
    less $48.38 coupons
    =$5.34
