Sorry, I haven't posted in awhile with all the buzz of playoff fever. I do want to keep you updated though with some recent new things I've learned in my couponing adventure.
1. Know your store's coupon policy
-For the longest time I kept trying to confirm the coupon policy at Real Canadian Superstore (RCSS), because people in the EAST where allowed to coupon stack out there. So with much success I finally got to coupon stack at Marine Dr. location and this has been adopted everywhere, and if you have problems just tell them that other locations are doing it. So what does this mean?? Superstore has a wall of coupons right when you walk in called COUPON ZONE. The header of the coupons will say coupon zone which are only valid at Superstore and No Frills or any other chain owned by Loblaws. Sometimes the header can say Manufacturer Coupon which can be used at ANY store Wal-Mart, Canadian Tire etc. The coupon policy is you are allowed to combine a coupon zone coupon and a manufacturer coupon on one item.
For example: Minute Maid Heart Wise 2L Juice on sale $2.49
less CZ Coupon $1.00 off + MF Coupon $1.00 off =$0.49
Wal-Mart has also recently updated their coupon policy too. It says that if the value of the coupon exceeds the retail price they either have to pay you the change or you can use it towards the purchase of the rest of your products. How can they do this? Wal-Mart submits the coupons and gets the full value from the manufacturer, so they allow the customer to claim the full value as well.
2. Call Johnson and Johnson every month you are allowed to request 2 of the following:
1-866-JNJ-BABY
$2 off Carefree/Stayfree/OB etc.
$3 off Aveeno/Clean and Clear/Neutrogena etc.
$2 off Listerine and many other products
$2 off Tylenol and many other products
And New Parent Packs one time only.
